RIFLE RANGE

Our Clubs’ rifle range has a 25/50 and a 50/100 outdoor target facility that is approved for any type of restricted handgun and rifles which is open to any legal hunting caliber to all members (some restrictions apply).

We also have target gongs and a shotgun pattern board located on the 25/50m range. Shooting positions are covered from the elements.

25/50 Metre Range

The range has red flags and back and front or rear bench for firearms.

Approved Firearms and Calibres.

Prohibited, Antique and Restricted Pistols in legal calibres- to be placed on front bench empty with magazine out during safe line.

Legal restricted and Non Restricted Long Guns- placed against the back bench unloaded and magazines out during safe line.

Legal Shotguns and calibres – placed against the back bench unloaded and magazines out during safelines.

Calibres Allowed: Shotgun Slugs approved on the 25 and 50 metre lines and there is a Shotgun Patterning board at 40 Yards.  Any legal centre fire, black powder and rimfire ammunition allowed – no tracer bullets.

Paper Targets Only unless during action shoot which has set approved targets.

50/100 Metre Range

The range has red flags and back bench for firearms.

Approved Firearms:  Legal restricted and Non Restricted Long Guns – placed against the back bench unloaded and magazines out during safe line.

Legal Shotguns and calibres placed against the back bench unloaded and magazines out during safe line.

Calibres- Slugs approved on the 25 and 50 metre lines, Any legal centre fire and rimfire ammunition allowed- no tracer bullets.

Paper Targets Only unless during action shoot which has set approved targets and other firearm usage.
