Howdy all you fellow buffalo hunters,
YEP!!, it is buffalo season again, the hunt will take place at NRSGC on the1st of October 2023 at 1pm ( Sunday)
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
– only buffalo rifle will be permitted to shot
– this is a rifle that was used in the buffalo hunts of the 1860’s, 70’s, 80’s
– the rifle must predate 1890, or a reproduction there of
e,g I’m is a 1873 Remington Rolling Block, 45-70, by Pedersoli
– must be minimum 38cal
– this includes Flintlocks, Percussion Cap, Big Bore lever action, e.g. 1886 Winchester 45-62
– no 94 Winchester 30-30’s, no pistol cal, e.g. 44-40, or 45 Long Colt
– iron sights or aperture sights only
– NO OPTIC SIGHTS OF ANY KIND, NONE OF ANY KIND, PERIOD, NONE
– you may shoot in any ” stance ” you wish
– shooting sticks are permitted
The competition will consist of firing 10 round at a 100 yards,
Due to time constraints there will be no practice rounds
Please sight in your rifle prior to attending the event.
Fee TBD, which includes one our ( now famous ) Buffalo burgers,
with a side order of my baked beans.
